PICES
Into the deep she watched me go
Little child of woe
Down to chambers cut in stone
So all alone—
She closed her eyes, shut out the light
And out of sight.
Cried out to her, she heard me not
Nor was I sought—
My arms reached out for her to take
So much at stake!
She turned away—her grief my tomb
Her guilt my doom.
Sweet Jubilee has burst the grave
Our God shall save!
For in her death we both are freed
Christ’s blood I plead
I was not lost, just shut away.
Atonement pay.
