    Hi Patricia!
I ENJOYED reading your blog and seeing the amazing face of CICI!!
I loved hearing about her story…some of which I knew, but, some not.
I am writing to you from Egypt where there are numerous street cats who are very skinny..no one owns them, they seem to survive by “cleaning up” the trash cans..the good news is there are no dogs around to harass them.
I am reading a book I think you will enjoy which I will give you when I see you next, about a single, middle aged, woman journalist who decides to move to Egypt for a year..she writes well and is a deeply spiritual perspective..reminds me of you!
As they say here…Mabrook…(congrats) on your blog!

    Hi Suha!
Thanks for writing – all the way from Egypt!!
I’m sorry to hear about the little street cats. They probably are not Egyptian Maus. CiCi says “mau” sometimes (she has an extensive vocabulary!) so I imagine that may be how they came by such a name. Anyway, survival always comes first – a baseline of creation. Hopefully some of these cats will find a home where they can enjoy warmth and security and enough food to grow fat and playful.
I look forward to seeing you when you return.
    Patricia
